Doctor gave him the prescription, his hands were shivering , prescription fell down from his hands .He was looking at Doctor, but he walked away ,he was not able to see it properly, he removed his glasses and clean them, put them back but still same.
He look here and there, he stopped a Nurse asked her to pick the paper for her.She did that but in irritation.
He walked back to her bed, she was sleeping in peace.He knew she will wake now after 1 hour, that much time he have only.
He walked slowly and reach to the chemist, there was only two-three stairs but for him it was like a long way to go after struggling a lot he won the war and reach to the counter after making the space from the crowd although two times he managed himself from evading the fall.
He was calling the person on the other side of counter, amid of all the voices of the people his voice was falling into deaf ears after struggling a lot finally he managed to caught the elbow of one of the helper and forcefully handed him the prescription.A sign of relief he took .
The bill costed total Rs 1500, he searched his both pocket all he have was Rs 1400, 100 Rupees less. But shopkeeper was adamant on not giving him any discount , shopkeeper returned all the money and ask him to give back the medicine bag, he clutched the back tightly into his fingers , refused to return it with politely but tears in his eyes.A heated argument started within ten mins on shop, finally a girl in her twenty gave the balanced hundred rupees to shopkeeper as all of the transaction came to halt because of this fight and that girl was in hurry and hundred rupees was just a small amount for her.
He moved down the stairs weeping his eyes and blessing that girl.He was not wearing any watch but he knew he still have time.He speed up his walking, as he was reaching her bed, he stopped at a chair, sat catch his breath from the corner of the room he checked her, she is still sleeping, he smiled.
He move closer to her after putting all medicines on table next to her.After 5 minutes she opened her eyes and asked - "You didn't went to take medicine?", He replied - "No, hospital staff is too good they themselves went and bought the medicine for us and that too in discount.".
She smiled and so he , as she smiled.
She closed her eyes as she was doing from last 1.5 hours and start cursing her children.Their children abondon them in their last days of life. She knew her husband went to take medicine alone on his own when his eyes are not strong as it used to be and same his body too.
